DOE Projekts (Deborah, Cebo, Veronica, and Glenn -- Week 6) visited dOCUMENTA's Lori Waxman, 60 wrd/min art critic. We enjoyed meeting and speaking with Lori and look forward to her visit in the Amtsgericht for a personal look at our art action, "just us at work."

DOEprojekts (Deborah, Glenn, Cebo, and Veronica -- Week 6) continues to explore Kassel and dOCUMENTA (13) with the help of other artists and friends. Each day, Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm, we work on our art project in the Amtsgericht. In the evenings and on weekends, we visit d(13) and see the work of other artists, such as Critical Art Ensemble's "Wining Hearts and Minds" at the Hauptbahnhof. Yesterday, we were taken on a bike tour of Kassel by Axel, Luba, and Alexander, our new friends in Kassel. Then, we had a delicious Croatian dinner and dessert. Each day brings new insights and happenings. We are grateful for our experiences here in Kassel.

'just us at work' — Staatsministerin Frau Kühne-Hörmann visits our 'art action' in the Amtsgericht, Kassel

We were very pleased to welcome Staatsministerin Mrs. Eva Kühne-Hörmann, Hessisches Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst (Hessen State-Minister for Culture and Art) to "just us at work" today. Mrs. Kühne-Hörmann was very kind to spend time looking at our work and told us about many resources in Hessen related to our project and also German art and culture. Thank you Mrs. Kühne-Hörmann! Herr Manfred Greber, and his family -- Susanne, Kai, and Marius -- have been so kind to us at the Amtsgericht! We enjoy so many good foods each day. We look forward to tasting new dishes and German delicacies. We thank Herr Greber and the staff of the Kantine for taking good care of us.

'just us at work' — We welcome artist Denise Laurin-Donatelle to the Amtsgericht, Kassel, and d(13)

DOE Projekts welcomes Denise Laurin-Donatelle to 'just us at work' in the Amtsgericht, Kassel. Denise is an artist and teacher in New York City. She brings many years of drawing and design experience as well as great enthusiasm to our 'art action.' We are very glad to have her participate! 'just us at work' — Werkstatt Kassel and upcoming exhibition possibilities

 

 

DOE Projekts visited Werkstatt Kassel today after working in the Amtsgericht. We have been invited to exhibit at this Sozio-Kultur-Zentrum on the Congress Palais in Kassel. Werkstatt Kassel evolved from discussions led by Joseph Beuys during Documenta 6. Our tentative opening date is Sunday, Aug 5, 2012.
